Paradise Street

My Great Grandfather, Horace Hawkesford, owned a tobbacconist in Birmingham on a road named Paradise Street. I am using this as a starting point for my project.

I have now visited several Paradise Streets around the country and researched the history in places and will be using the information gathered there to create drawings for my final show.

Map of Nowhere - Grayson Perry

I've been watching those fascinating programmes on the BBC, The Beauty of Maps, they're really inspiring me in my current proect, here is Grayson Perry's 'Map of Nowhere'
I'll be going to the British Library Map exhibition next week and also attending a talk with Grayson Perry and Stephen Walker, both who have created lovely interesting contemporary Art Maps- so more maps to come!

3 Books on Trains

Second Year- Little Red Riding Hood

Here are a few pages from the Red Riding Hood project in Second Year, I based mine on the Yorkshire Ripper, The wolf starts as a man and becomes more animal like as the story progresses.

The collage used is from photographs of the crime scenes.

It seems I am very late getting on this whole blog-train, so there may have to be some back-tracking.
